Should I Buy a Galaxy Tab 2 or a Nexus 7 Tablet?

Published on September 4th, 2012 in General

Many people currently in the market for a 7″ tablet are asking which is better, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 or the Asus/Google Nexus 7. For most people, the Nexus 7 is the better option. It has a higher resolution screen, a bigger battery, a faster processor, newer Bluetooth, NFC and a newer version of Android. It will also be among the first devices to get any Android updates. The only reason a Galaxy Tab 2 would be a better choice would be if you require a rear-facing camera, or if you need a MicroSD slot to add storage; the Nexus 7 is missing both of these options as a cost savings measure. Below are the important specs for the base-level models of each tablet, compare for yourself and choose the one that best matches your needs.

I was told they were going to upgrade the Galaxy to the jelly bean from ice cream sandwich. Has that been done?
